UPDATE:  On August 4, 2008, Mayor Newsom signed the most stringent green building ordinance in the nation for the City of San Francisco.  The Ordinance requires LEED Certification standards for most commercial renovation projects within City limits and GreenPoint Certification for certain residential developments.  Currently, only municipal buildings within the City are subject to such standards.  If approved by the California Energy Commission, the Ordinance will become operative in November, 2008. :  CLICK HERE FOR THE ORDINANCE:
